Here’s how to send your friends and family HD-quality videos. In the past few days, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has introduced a number of new features, and it appears that this trend won’t be slowing down anytime soon. The much-anticipated HD photo sending feature was recently made available on the instant messaging platform. And as of right now, the platform has begun to roll out a new feature that will enable users to share HD-quality videos.
The well-known chat app WhatsApp has now announced the ability to share HD videos after recently introducing support for sharing HD photos. Users will now be able to share videos in high definition, up to 720p, as a result of this. Over the next few weeks, WhatsApp users on Android, iOS, and the web will start to get the aforementioned feature.Simply choose the video you want to share and tap the “HD” button to send an HD version of it. The new function is a welcome addition to WhatsApp because it will enable users to send their loved ones high-quality videos. A notification that the video is in HD quality will be visible to those receiving it. They have the option of watching the video in standard or HD resolution.
It’s crucial to realise that HD videos do not automatically translate to more realistic-looking videos. Even if you choose HD, WhatsApp will still compress the video to make it smaller and enable faster video transfers. In essence, the original video quality cannot be fully preserved, but the high-quality option does result in an improvement over the standard option in terms of overall video quality. For videos, WhatsApp always defaults to the standard quality setting. You will need to manually select the high-quality option each time if you want to share videos with better quality.Last week, CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of the app’s HD photo sharing feature. Zuckerberg stated via his Meta broadcast channel that “Sending photos on WhatsApp just got an upgrade,” adding that “Now you can send in HD.”
