RealWhile publishes reviews, comparisons and recommendations of AI tools, mobile apps, software, gadgets, home and kitchen products, accessories and other products and services. This Review Policy explains how we choose what to review, how we evaluate it, and how we stay independent.
1. Our Review Principles
- Honesty: We share both pros and cons. If a product, app or AI tool has limitations, we say so.
- Independence: Our ratings and opinions are never for sale. Brands, advertisers and affiliate partners cannot pay for a positive review or a higher ranking.
- Usefulness: We focus on what matters to real users – value for money, ease of use, performance, safety and suitability for Indian users.
- Transparency: We disclose affiliate links, free review units and sponsored content clearly.
2. How We Choose What to Review
We select products and services based on reader interest, popularity, search trends, new launches, and gaps in the information available to Indian readers. Companies may suggest products, but we decide independently whether to cover them.
3. How We Review AI Tools
- We sign up and use the tool ourselves (free or paid plan, as stated in the review).
- We test real-world tasks such as writing, image generation, coding, summarisation or productivity, depending on the tool.
- We evaluate output quality, accuracy, speed, ease of use, pricing (including in INR where available), free-plan limits, language support, privacy and data-use policy, and available alternatives.
- We mention the date of testing and the version or plan used, because AI tools change quickly.
4. How We Review Apps and Software
- We check that the app is available from an official source (Google Play Store, Apple App Store or the official website).
- We review the developer’s identity, permissions requested, privacy policy, ads/in-app purchases, size, ratings and update frequency.
- Where possible, we install and use the app on a real device to test its main features.
- We never recommend cracked, modded or pirated apps.
5. How We Review Physical Products
- For product roundups and buying guides, we analyse manufacturer specifications, prices across sellers, warranty terms and a large sample of verified buyer reviews.
- When we have tested a product hands-on, we clearly state it. When a recommendation is based on research rather than personal testing, we make that clear too.
- We consider build quality, performance, features, ease of use, after-sales service and value for money.
6. Ratings
Where we give ratings (for example, out of 5 or 10), they reflect our overall assessment at the time of the review based on the criteria above. Ratings are comparative within a category and may be revised when products are updated or better alternatives appear.
7. Free Products, Trials and Sponsorships
If a company provides a free product, free subscription or trial for review, we will disclose it. Receiving a free product does not guarantee coverage or a positive review, and companies do not see or approve our reviews before publication. Sponsored posts, if any, will be clearly labelled.
8. Affiliate Links in Reviews
Many reviews contain affiliate links. If you buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps fund our work but does not influence our opinions. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
9. Keeping Reviews Updated
Prices, features and availability change. We periodically update our reviews and buying guides, and we show the “last updated” date. If you notice outdated information, please let us know at mail@admarq.in.
