That is why we take fact-checking seriously. This policy explains how we verify information before and after publishing.

1. Our Commitment

We are committed to publishing information that is accurate, verified and up to date. Every article goes through a fact-checking process before publication, and time-sensitive content is re-checked regularly.

2. How We Verify Facts

Primary sources first: We verify facts using primary sources wherever possible – official government portals, official notifications and circulars, PIB releases, official app store listings, company announcements and developer documentation.
Cross-verification: Important facts such as amounts, dates, eligibility criteria, helpline numbers, official website URLs, prices and specifications are cross-checked with at least one additional reliable source.
Official links check: Before publishing any link to a government portal or app download, we confirm that it points to the genuine official website or official app store listing – not to a copycat or fraudulent site.
Hands-on testing: For AI tools, apps and online services, we test features ourselves wherever possible rather than relying only on marketing claims.
Numbers and data: Statistics and figures are checked against their original source and include the date or period they refer to.
Quotes and claims: Quotes are attributed accurately, and claims made by companies or officials are presented as claims, not established facts.

3. Special Care for Government Scheme Content

We confirm the scheme name, implementing ministry/department, benefit amount, eligibility, documents required, application method and official portal from official sources.
We clearly mention when information is based on media reports or has not yet been officially confirmed (for example, expected installment dates).
We never publish fake schemes, unverified viral messages or unofficial application links.
We mention the official helpline number and website so readers can verify details directly.

4. Special Care for AI and App Content

We check current pricing, plans, availability in India and key features on the official website.
We note the date of testing because AI tools and apps change frequently.
We check app permissions, developer identity and official store listings before recommending any app.

5. Reliable vs. Unreliable Sources

We consider official government websites, reputed news organisations, official company websites and peer-reviewed or institutional sources to be reliable. We treat social media posts, forwarded messages, anonymous blogs and unofficial YouTube videos as unverified and do not use them as the sole source for any claim.

6. After Publication

Fact-checking does not end at publishing. We monitor official updates and reader feedback and update articles when facts change. Important articles display a “last updated” date so readers know how current the information is.

7. Report an Error

If you believe any information on RealWhile is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, please email us at mail@admarq.in with the article URL, the incorrect information and, if possible, a link to a reliable source. We review every report and handle it according to our Corrections Policy.
